Chicago Dog Boarding

Prepaid Dog Boarding Packages

Tucker Pup's proudly offers prepaid boarding packages. This is a unique and beneficial feature for our customers. It is designed to reward you for coming here frequently, help reduce your costs, and simplify your life.

How it works:

It's simple: you can purchase 10 or 20 boarding nights in advance at a reduced nightly rate. The nights do not have to be used consecutively, and can be spread out over multiple stays.

For example, let's say you purchase ten nights in advance, then board your dog for three nights. When you check out, you would have seven nights leftover, which can be used for other boarding stays.

In another example, let's say you purchase ten nights in advance, then stay for fifteen nights. When you check out, you could either pay the individual rate for the extra five nights, or you could purchase another package, deduct the five nights, and keep the leftover nights for future stays.

Please note that the package covers the nightly rate. At checkout, you would still be responsible for any other fees that may vary, including the post-noon checkout fee, solo play charges, our Health Warranty Program ($5 per stay), any major holiday surcharges. All of these are described on our Prices page.

How much do they cost?

You can click here to see the nightly rates on a side-by-side basis. You would still be responsible for any other fees associated with your stay, which are described on that page. The discount only applies to the base nightly rate.

What is the discount?

A prepaid package of 20 nights is $10 less per night than our individual nightly rate. That is a savings of $200 in total (20 nights * $10). This is very similar to getting three free nights for every twenty that you board here.

A prepaid package 10 nights is $5 less per night than our individual nightly rate. That is a savings of $50 in total (10 nights * $5). This is very similar to getting one free night for every ten that you board here.

Do I have to keep track of my nights?

Our system keeps track of everything, and we can tell you at checkout (or at any other time) how many nights you have left.

Do the nights expire?

The nights do not expire, ever. You are under no time constraint to use them whatsoever.

Are leftover nights refundable?

We can refund leftover nights at any time. When doing so, we would deduct any amount that had generated the savings, to make it as if you had paid for each night individually until that point.

For example, if you purchased 10 nights, that was a savings of $5 per night. If you used seven nights then requested a refund for the remaining three, the refund would be calculated as follows:

  • You paid $550 initially, because $55 * 10 = $550.
  • You used 7 nights, and would have paid $420 at the individual nightly rate, because $60 * 7 = $420.
  • Your refund would be $130, because $550 - $420 = $130.

I have more than one dog

We have four package options:
  • 10 nights for the first dog
  • 10 nights for the second dog if sharing the same boarding suite
  • 20 nights for the first dog
  • 20 nights for the second dog if sharing the same boarding suite

You can mix and match the packages how you see fit. For example, you might have one dog who boards often, and another not so much. You could buy 10 nights for the first dog, and just pay for individual nights for the second. It's completely up to you, based on your situation, your dogs, and your preferences.

Please note that our price for the second dog is less expensive than for the first dog, if they stay in the same boarding suite. If you had two dogs staying together, and wanted to split them across a 10-night package, your rate for the second dog would be higher than if you had purchased a separate package for it. We can explain more if necessary.

Are there packages for dogs who are not in group play?

Our price for dogs in solo play is higher than for group play. This is because it takes more staff, and more work, to manage dogs not in play (believe it or not). There are many ways a stay could happen, including a dog being play for the first half of its stay, then solo play for the second half. Therefore, the packages are priced at the base nightly rate, then you would pay for any solo play fees separately at checkout.

Any other stipulations?

You must pay for the package before any nights are used (for example, we can't have someone say they want a package, then at checkout say "we'll pay you next time" once nights have already been used).
