Dog Handler

Prior professional dog experience:

Before coming to Tucker Pup's, I have prior experience walking dogs, overseeing dog daycare playgroups and introducing/socializing dogs within an animal shelter environment.

My pets:

I have a 9 year old Pit-Bull Terrier mix named Lois who knows Spanish commands and is bilingual! Lois will have been with me for a year beginning in August of 2026! I also have a 15 year old cat named Coco who I adopted in 2014 when she was 3 years old. Coco, a.k.a. Cookie, is a domestic shorthair tabby.

Favorite breeds:

Pit bulls, huskies, beagles and French bulldogs

Favorite activities:

I love to write poetry and short stories in my down time! I performed my first open mic at the Pilsen Community Arts Center this summer of 2026!

Future career goals:

I want to work with animals in enrichment (activities and any items that help to stimulate and promote natural behaviors in animals such as throwing a tennis ball or frisbee with your dog to encourage hunting instincts!) as well as behavior (such as helping to decrease anxiety and allow for more autonomy).

Other interests:

I love nature photography and taking pictures of animals whether that be at the zoo or a nature preserve. I also love going on hikes in the Chicagoland suburbs and learning new dances (especially those from West Africa).

Graduated from:

I graduated from UW-Madison in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and French and a certificate (minor) in Gender and Women's Studies.

Did you know?

I have interned with elephants in TN where I had an opportunity to aide in enrichment, behavior training, feeding and interpretation of them at a sanctuary!
