Why I Became a Dog Trainer
I am excited about increasing the welfare of the animals we call family by helping parents create strong and positive relationships through training with their dogs. One area I am passionate about is rescue and working through the unique challenges that these dogs have, especially with behavior modification to aid in separation anxiety, fear-based behavior and aggression.Background Before Becoming a Dog Trainer
Before becoming a dog trainer, I spent 23 years working as a Marine Mammal trainer with dolphins and sea lions, including at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. After that, I spent four years working as a zookeeper, training species such as polar bears, tigers, lynx, coyote and parrots.My Dog
I currently have a mixed breed dog named Raven Noodle, who I adopted from PAWS. Although unplanned, we foster failed and she became a part of the family!Testimonials
We've recently completed another cycle of Cooperative Care Training with Allison Ginsburg and couldn't be more satisfied. We started working with Allison to overcome some trauma and anxieties that our dog has surrounding the vet and grooming and Allison has allowed us to make significant progress. Not only has she boosted our dog's confidence, she's boosted our confidence that we can take great care of him all while respecting his boundaries and autonomy.
Our dog is showing greater comfort in being handled by strangers, having his paws touched, and being in medical spaces without fear. Allison is incredibly patient and attentive with us our dog and our family appreciates the extra mile she goes.

Allison was great with Raider + us! We learned a lot and have seen him grow so much! he is on the younger side for training, but it helped us make him a smart city dog and she also took extra time with any concerns we had. I have reccoed to a few friends because of our experience. I think we will let him get a little older before we consider more training, but if we do the intermediate class or a private lesson we will use Tucker Pup's in the future!!
