My Role at Tucker Pup's
I teach Dropoff Training and puppy socials.Dog Training Background
Prior to joining Tucker Pup's, I worked for four years at a similar boarding, daycare, and training facility outside of Atlanta where I grew up. After moving to Chicago, I was a dog trainer at another Chicago-based training company for a year and a half where I began to dig into my passion for dog training and properly begin my journey. Why I Became a Dog Trainer
My dog, Corona, has always been anxious outside of the house as well as dog reactive. With this in mind when I adopted her nearly nine years ago, I strove to find a way to strengthen my bond with her, and show her that the world is not as scary as it may seem sometimes. This passion carried over into current day, and I now strive to help families to form and/or strengthen their own bonds with their pups. There is nothing more rewarding than hearing about how training has led to families feeling more connected to their furry friends!Education
I graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Biology.Certifications
I am a Fear-Free Certified Professional.
My Dog
I have an American Staffordshire Terrier mix named Corona, and she is my pride and joy! We love to train together, and she has taught me everything I know about dog behavior, bonding with dogs, and what having a soul dog means. I also have a Domestic Shorthair cat named Chapo who enjoys training in the form of high-fives and going on walks!Testimonials
Ozzie had a great time at puppy social and Helena and MJ were wonderful trainers with lots of helpful tips!

Helena and MJ were great in the puppy social! They were kind and knowledgeable. The obedience and body language tips were SO helpful. Helena handled the room of rambunctious puppies like a champion, all while managing teaching the humans. We were SO impressed with everything, and our chaotic puppy was happy and tired after. Thank you!

Helena and MJ were spectacular! My dog loves them so much. She’s very shy around other dogs and they did a great job encouraging her to be comfortable.
