My Role at Tucker Pup's
I provide Dropoff Training and our Stay and Train service, plus teach puppy socials.Animal Experience
Before becoming a dog trainer at Tucker Pup's, I worked at Anti-Cruelty for six years. Anti-Cruelty is the oldest and largest shelter in Chicago. While there, I saw firsthand how dogs just needed some training, and this led me to pursue becoming a full-time trainer.I have also gone through behavioral modification training with my own dogs.
Why I Became a Dog Trainer
I have always had an interest in the way dogs think and behave. I believe that it is important to have an understanding between dog and owner to create harmony in the home. I also strongly believe in positive reinforcement training tactics, and strive to teach others how to apply them.Future Goals

Phaedra was amazing to work with for drop off training. She’s patient, a clear communicator, and has done an excellent job helping my puppy and I build a strong training foundation. We’ve come so far since our first day – and our success is in large part because Phaedra takes the time to understand my puppy's distinct qualities. Everyone at Tucker Pup's, especially Phaedra, has been amazing! I appreciate how accommodating and patient Phaedra was with Ryder.
Back in November I had to stop walking him because he was pulling me down the sidewalk. Now we are able to go on 6 mile walks with him by my side and checking in with me.
He made so much growth during his time at Tucker Pup's and I could not be more grateful! I know Ryder will be miss his "school days" at TP! :)
