My Role at Tucker Pup's

I am a Training Apprentice, where I teach puppy socials, Stay and Train, and assist with Dropoff Training.

Animal Experience

Before becoming a dog trainer at Tucker Pup's, I worked at Anti-Cruelty for five years. Anti-Cruelty is the oldest and largest shelter in Chicago. While there, I saw firsthand how dogs just needed some training, and this led me to pursue becoming a full-time trainer.

I have also gone through behavioral modification training with my own dogs.

Why I Became a Dog Trainer

I have always had an interest in the way dogs think and behave. I believe that it is important to have an understanding between dog and owner to create harmony in the home. I also strongly believe in positive reinforcement training tactics, and strive to teach others how to apply them.

Future Goals

To become a certified dog trainer that specializes in behavioral modification, tackling difficult issues such as separation anxiety, leash reactivity, and much more.
