Dog Trainer

I am almost finished with earning my Certified Training Partner certification through Karen Pryor Academy.

I worked at Anti-Cruelty as an adoption counselor before transitioning to dog walking and some volunteer work for a local rescue. I have also fostered a number of dogs and cats!

Poppy is my 2 year old rescue pup that is completing my KPA course by my side.

I have two cats named Oscar and Apple who are also both rescues, and a Betta fish named Periwinkle.

I attended many training classes at Anti-Cruelty Society with shelter dogs. My dog Poppy was trained based on that experience and all of the new skills I learned through Karen Pryor Academy.

I definitely have a soft spot for any working breeds - especially Border Collies or Shepherds. However, I also love a shelter mystery mix!

I love to cook, sew, crochet, really any kind of craft! I love to go hiking with my dog when the weather is nice, and I'm a lifelong musician. Currently I enjoy playing guitar and singing.

Once I obtain my Karen Pryor certification, I hope to become a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant. I'd love to be able to help dogs struggling with behavior issues and help them live a happy and fulfilling life.

I am an avid herbalist and love anything to do with nature. On my off days you can find me hiking, at the Shedd Aquarium, or just enjoying a sunny Chicago day with my dog.

Oberlin College with a Bachelor's Degree in Musical Studies and a concentration in Cognitive Sciences

I love to read Tarot! I taught myself how to read tarot cards in 2020 and I find it to be an excellent form of introspection and self reflection.
